MidAtlantic Erg Sprints
Erg Sprints is the largest indoor rowing event for juniors in the United States
and the largest satellite qualifying event for the World Indoor Rowing Championships (C.R.A.S.H.-Bs).
1986: Kitty Porterfield, coaches, and boosters organize the first Erg Sprints with 30 Model A ergs and 40 volunteers. 2016: 2,000+ entries from 100 clubs, 126 Model Ds, supported by 250 volunteers!
Ergs Sprints is the largest indoor rowing event for juniors in the United States and the largest satellite qualifying event for the World Indoor Rowing Championships (CRASH-Bs).
Chose from lots of categories: junior, collegiate, masters, adaptive, lightweight, coxswains, fitness club, parent/child pairs, and kids. Do you really like to erg? Sign up for the half marathon or marathon!
Take advantage of early bird on-line registration through January 7! On-line registration closes January 28. Or register on-site the day of the event. See the Registration page for more information.
Medals will be awarded for 1st thru 3rd place event finishers. Earn points for your team: 8 overall team trophies will be awarded to Club, Collegiate, High Schools (juniors), and Fitness Club teams.
The success of the Erg Sprints depends on the efforts of nearly 200 volunteers. Sign up for a shift (or two!) to help run a safe and fun competition. See the Volunteer page for more information.
